LIVERPOOL v NEWCASTLE UNITED
NICK HARRISON: Liverpool are looking good again and their 3-0 win at Burnley proved that point. Mane and Salah will have kissed and made up and both will net again this lunchtime. 4-0
TOM NORRIS: If Salah has promised to pass to his fellow forwards then Liverpool will be far too good for Newcastle. The Egyptian is the main man, but the team comes first. It’s damage limitation for Newcastle. 5-0
DAN HEALD: Traditionally a goal-fest and it’s hard to imagine Newcastle repelling Liverpool for too long here. The disruption of the international informs my conservative estimate of the winning margin though. 3-0
BRIGHTON v BURNLEY
NH: It’s got a draw written all over it unless Barnes can go and grab an early goal and inspire Burnley to a precious away win. 1-1
TN: It didn’t take long for Brighton’s good start to end, did it? Burnley will fancy their chances of victory in this one, but it won’t be pretty. 0-1
DH: Dyche has got his Clarets side playing to the strengths of traditional number nine Barnes and it’s working. Brighton need to stop the rot and a hard-fought point would steady them. 1-1
MANCHESTER UNITED v LEICESTER CITY
NH: Here’s a chance for Leicester to prove that former Foxes defender Maguire isn’t worth anything near the £80m United forked out for him. Rashford needs to come good in this one but Vardy may be the main man at Old Trafford. 1-2
TN: I’m sure Vardy will relish the chance to run at Maguire, who will know all of his former team-mate’s tricks. The Foxes have burst into life in recent weeks and Solskjaer could be feeling a bit more pressure come the end of this one. 2-2
DH: Leicester’s early promise suggests they’re a solid bet to gatecrash the top six this season. United have stuttered so far and will need to find another attacking gear to hurt the well-drilled Foxes. James and Vardy to net in a lively affair. 2-2
SHEFFIELD UNITED v SOUTHAMPTON
NH: Blades boss Wilder will ask for his side to show the same battling qualities that earned them a comeback draw at Chelsea. The Saints lack real threat without Redmond and the best they can hope for is a point. 2-1
TN: A game Wilder and the Blades will have earmarked for all three points, and with Bramhall Lane packed to the rafters it’s hard to see the Saints being able to cope with an intense home side. 2-0
DH: Bramall Lane’s hostile atmosphere will give the Blades an edge this season. The Saints certainly didn’t disgrace themselves against Liverpool last time out, but a McBurnie goal could win it. 1-0
TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR v CRYSTAL PALACE
NH: This is the kind of game Palace will go and win. Zaha has been very quiet so far but with Eriksen staying put for the time being, will Spurs eventually come good? I’m not sure they will. 1-2
TN: On paper it has home win written all over it, but Palace are a tough nut to crack under Roy, who has already pulled off a win at Old Trafford this season. Spurcould be relying on some magic from Kane, Son or Eriksen. 2-1
DH:Something’s not right at Spurs. But with the uncertainty of Eriksen’s future temporarily put to bed and Harry Kane netting four for England recently, you have to think they’ll hit form soon. 3-1
WOLVES v CHELSEA
NH: Wolves let goals in and Chelsea look awful at the back too. Definitely worth backing both teams to score with Abraham and Jimenez both on target in an entertaining game. 2-2
TN: This could be literally any score with the way Chelsea have been playing. Super Frank has got his young pretenders firing at the right end, but the defence looks fragile. 2-2
DH: This might be a transitional season for Chelsea, but defensively they look very suspect. That said, they’re not goal-shy with the threat of Abraham and Mount. 1-2
NORWICH CITY v MANCHESTER CITY
NH: Another team who can’t stop conceding and you can’t see The Canaries shutting their cage on the likes of Aguero, Sterling and De Bruyne. 1-4
TN: Norwich have set their stall out to attack their opponents and if that continues against Pep’s reigning champions it will get messy. Aguero and Sterling will have a field day. 1-6
DH: You’d like to think Farke has learned something from Norwich’s humbling at Anfield on the opening weekend, but recent showings suggest they’re still as cavalier as ever. Expect a De Bruyne-inspired City to wreak havoc. 1-5
BOURNEMOUTH v EVERTON
NH: Two teams who flatter to deceive at times. This fixture normally provides goals and I expect that to be the case again on the south coast. 2-2
TN: Everton look a little different to the fragile teams of recent years and Silva will be hoping that continues at Bournemouth, who only know one way to play. 1-2
DH: Bournemouth have the useful habit of bouncing back from defeats with solid performances. They’ll need one here against the steadily improving Toffees. 2-1
WATFORD v ARSENAL
NH: Watford have their new-old boss back in charge but face a real test against attack-minded Arsenal. Big dilemma for Emery is that playing Aubameyang and Lacazette together doesn’t work and the latter may be axed. 1-3
TN: The Hornets have a familiar face in the dug out, but they will be hoping that it’s a different story in terms of results as Arsenal head to Vicarage Road. It’s hard to see it being a positives start for Sanchez Flores. Pepe to find the net in a comfortable away win. 0-2
DH: Flores did reasonably well in his first stint at Watford but his re-appointment smacks of desperation. Arsenal’s superior firepower will be the telling factor with Aubameyang on target. 1-2
ASTON VILLA v WEST HAM
NH: The Hammers have turned the corner but these are the kind of games Villa boss Smith will be demanding three points from. Both teams might have settle for one each though. 1-1
TN: If Villa are to survive then finding a way to win these games is imperative. McGinn will be fresh after being left on the bench by Scotland, and with Grealish he holds the key to the home side’s chances of success. 2-1
DH: Robbed at Palace and unlucky to lose against Bournemouth, Villa should arguably be a point or two better off by now. But the table doesn’t lie and Dean Smith’s men will be desperate for another home win here - a point may be more realistic though. 2-2
SCORES SO FAR: Nick Harrison 30; Tom Norris 26; Dan Heald 23.
