Ryan Reynolds has given the best reaction to his wife Blake Lively's dress change during the Met Gala.
The Met Gala returned last night with the theme ‘Gilded Glamour’, a homage to the extravagance and creativity of the Gilded Age, roughly between 1870 and 1890.
This year saw Blake Lively co-host alongside her husband Ryan Reynolds, Regina King and Lin-Manuel Miranda, and as always the star pulled out all the stops to wow on the red carpet.
She walked the carpet in a copper custom Versace gown with Art Deco detailing, paying tribute to classic New York architecture.
Already wowing in her outfit, Lively’s dress then transformed into a new look. An aqua colour brought the skirt alive.
Fans took to social media to obsess over Lively's stunning outfit as well as her husband, the Wrexham AFC co-owner.
Reynolds was captured watching Lively on the red carpet in awe as she revealed her second look.
The actor was seen with a beaming smile and clapping from further up the red carpet.
Since the biggest night in fashion concluded for another year, the former People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive has shared his thoughts on his wife's outfit change on Instagram.
The actor wrote alongside a snap of the couple together: "Blake changing outfits in a split second on the red carpet was a moment I’ll never forget. I recently changed my moisturizer and feel pretty confident it’s more of a slow burn that people will appreciate in time. Like Freaks and Geeks."
Reynolds also used the opportunity to thank his own styling team, adding: "Styling: @ilariaurbinati Brown Velvet Tux: @ralphlauren
Most beautiful damn watch I’ve ever seen: @omega."
With a camera emoji he added credit to the picture's photographer: "@voguemagazine @gettyentertainment & @sophiatravaglia" and a "Big thanks to @jami33".
Fans raced to the comments to share their adoration for 'Mr and Mrs Met Gala'.
One-fifth of Queer Eye, Jonathan Van Ness said: "Yall looked sooooo feckinggg cuteeeee."
While another fan added: "THE BEST COUPLE!! LOOKING SO GOOD."
With a praising hands emoji, one user commented: "Epic dress move. @blakelively gets it!"
Meanwhile, a fourth fan teased: "I wanna hear more about this moisturizer. I’m thinking of changing mine up too."
