A 31-year-old has been arrested after a man was found unresponsive in Paisley.
Police have launched an attempted murder investigation to establish the circumstances of the incident after the victim was found at 11.55pm on Friday on George Street in the town before being taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
The 31-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.
Detective inspector Gordon Smith said: “Enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone with any information which may assist with the investigation to get in touch.
“If you have doorbell cameras, private CCTV or a dashcam, please review your footage and bring anything of significance to our attention.
“We would also like to speak to those who assisted officers in locating the injured man. If you have not spoken to officers yet, please contact us.”
Witnesses should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting the reference number 4560 of September 13.
