MOLD'S Deputy Mayor spoke of his delight after raising hundreds of pounds for a good cause.
Cllr Haydn Jones, who runs the Mold Bowel Cancer Support Group, organised a five mile walk at Loggerheads as part of Bowel Cancer Walk Weekend.
The national initiative saw groups all over the UK taking on similar challenges in aid of Bowel Cancer UK.
"It went exceptionally well," Cllr Jones said.
"We raised well over £500, which I was very pleased about.
"It was nice to get outside and meet people face to face, because our group has been meeting on Zoom.
"The weather wasn't too bad - it cleared up about half way round.
"We walked for Bowel Cancer UK Wales, so the money we raised stays in Wales and goes towards research and helping all kinds of people with cancer."
Cllr Jones is also preparing to abseil down Liverpool Cathedral in aid of Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, which will take place on July 10.
