A PERSON was taken to hospital after a four-vehicle collision in Flintshire on Tuesday (December 3).
North Wales Police were called to the scene of the crash on Chester Road Hawarden involving a HGV, a minibus, a car and a van just before 8.40am this morning.
Officers attended alongside colleagues from the North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, Welsh Ambulance Service and the air ambulance.
The road was closed and remained closed until shortly before 4.30pm when it reopened.
Police confirmed that one person was taken to the Countess of Chester hospital following the incident.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "Shortly before 8.40am this morning, we were called to a report of a four-vehicle road traffic collision on Chester Road, Hawarden, involving a HGV, a minibus a car and a van.
"Police are in attendance, along with colleagues from the North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, the Welsh Ambulance Service and the air ambulance.

"The road between the turnings for Rake Lane and Station Road, Sandycroft remains closed, and is likely to remain shut for some time."
A spokesperson for Wales air ambulance added: "I can confirm that Wales Air Ambulance attended an incident in the Hawarden area this morning (03/12/24).
"We sent two crews via air, the first of which arrived on scene at 09:29. Our involvement concluded at 10:33."
