A MAN was taken to hospital with "serious injuries" following a road traffic collision in Flintshire this morning.
North Wales Police were called to reports of a two-vehicle RTC on the A55 eastbound near Broughton involving a car and a motorbike.
The road was closed for several hours while emergency services attended. The road closure sparked heavy traffic, with motorists urged to avoid the area.
Police have confirmed a man has been taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital with "serious injuries" and are appealing for any information regarding the incident.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "At 7.13am this morning (Tuesday, December 3rd) we were called to a report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A55 at J36A in Broughton involving a car and a motorbike which closed the road.
"Police attended, along with colleagues from the Welsh Ambulance Service.
"A man was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital with serious injuries.
"The road has since been cleared and is now reopen.
"Anyone with information in relation to the incident is asked to make contact with us either by calling 101, or via the website, using reference number Q181578."
