HOLLYWOOD came to a Wrexham beauty spot over the weekend as filming took place at the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct for what is thought to be the upcoming Peaky Blinders movie.
Cillian Murphy, who plays the TV show's iconic main character Tommy Shelby, was seen at the World Heritage Site as scenes involving narrow boats were filmed.
The Trevor Basin had been shut to members of the public for the day, with onlookers thinking it could've been filming for the new Peaky Blinders film due to the clothing of the actors. Murphy was seen wearing his iconic flat cap and suit.

The Oscar-winning actor is famed for his roles in Oppenheimer and Inception, as well as his performances as Shelby in the BBC gang drama.
Also seen filming scenes at the location was Packy Lee, who plays Johnny Dogs in Peaky Blinders.
Peaky Blinders, spanning six seasons, is due to continue with a feature-length film, though no release date has been confirmed for it yet.
It will star the likes of Barry Keoghan, Stephen Graham, and Sophie Rundle.
