HOLYWELL got into the festive spirit on Friday (November 29) as the town’s Christmas lights were switched on for the first time this year.
Mayor of Holywell, Cllr Linda Corbett, did the honours at 6pm, along with schoolchildren and cadets from the town.
The event got underway at 12pm, with a DJ playing Christmas music, before a High Street artisan market started at 2pm.
Schoolchildren then sang festive songs from 3.20-5pm, and a Santa Float, organised by Rotary Club of Flint and Holywell, also made an appearance.
