WREXHAM Council is offering free parking in its car parks this Saturday November 30, and every Saturday during December.
The aim is to encourage people to visit the city centre before and during the festive season – helping to support local businesses.
Councillor Mark Pritchard, Leader of the Council, said: “We know that Christmas is an important time for the retail and leisure industry, and we’re very pleased to be able to offer free Saturday parking over the next few weeks.
“Wrexham has so much to offer, and we want to support local businesses by encouraging people to shop and spend leisure time in the city.
“Everyone knows that councils are facing huge financial challenges at the moment, and although we can’t afford to offer free parking every day, we can afford to offer it on the five Saturdays from November 30 until the end of December.
