WREXHAM'S Victorian Christmas Markets have officially opened in the city centre bringing festive joy to all.
Coinciding with the grand relaunch of the General and Butchers Markets, residents are in for a treat this weekend as vendors open their stalls for a four-day merry extravaganza.

From November 28 until Sunday, December 1, this year's market promise to deliver fun, live music and entertainment across High Street, Church Street and St Giles Church.
Crowds gathered on Thursday morning to be the first at the markets, joined by Santa himself who was spreading plenty of Christmas cheer. The Victorian carol singers also made an appearance, and were delivering your favourite tunes throughout the day.
As well as a brilliant variety of charming stalls offering handmade crafts and bespoke gifts, there will also be delicious seasonal treats such as hot crepes, pies and chocolates, as well as beautifully crafted wreaths and decorations.

On November 30 and December 1, a family fair will be hosted at Queen's Square featuring traditional rides, attractions and games for all ages. There will also be free face-painting to keep the little ones entertained.
For those heading towards St Giles, you'll find a snow machine adding even more magic to the markets. It's the perfect way to get into the festive spirit while supporting your local businesses and traders.
The markets are open from 12pm until 8pm Thursday - Saturday, and 12pm until 4pm on Sunday.
