NIGHTINGALE House Hospice is set to host it's annual 'Light Up A Life' event in Wrexham this weekend.

The hospice is inviting the community to take part in its heartfelt Light Up A Life campaign, a cherished annual tradition that has been illuminating lives for 25 years.

Taking place on Sunday, 1st December at 4pm, the event will be held at Nightingale House, bringing together individuals and families to honour and remember loved ones during the festive season.

Each year, over 1,000 people dedicate a light on the Tree of Lights, which stands in the hospice grounds, as a tribute to their loved ones.

These dedications not only offer a meaningful way to remember but also provide vital support for the hospice, enabling them to continue delivering specialised care to patients and their families.

The campaign, which has raised more than half a million pounds to date, plays a vital role in funding the hospice’s essential services..

Beverley said: “For us, it’s about keeping Gareth’s memory alive and doing positive things in his honour. Light represents life, and for me, the campaign continues to reflect that.

“We’ve been touched by the support and the chance to dedicate a moment to remember him in such a special way. The staff were so kind and compassionate at Nightingale House. They made Gareth feel at home and gave us precious moments together as a family.”
