A DERELICT hotel in Flintshire suffered "100 percent fire damage" following a significant blaze last night.
The incident occurred at the site of the former Elms Hotel on Sealand Road, Sealand.
At the height of the blaze, eight fire engines were in attendance, in addition to an aerial ladder platform and high volume pump.
Nearby residents were urged to keep windows and doors closed, and people living in Saughall village were contacted regarding low water pressure and discoloured water as a result of the fire service using hydrants in the area.

A North Wales Fire and Rescue Service (NWFRS) spokesperson confirmed that the fire had been extinguished this morning, but that the building had suffered "100 per cent fire damage."
No one was hurt in the incident, and a cause is yet to have been ascertained in relation to the fire, NWFRS said.
A crew was expected to remain at the site throughout the day to dampen down.
NWFRS have been approached for further information.
