EMERGENCY Services have responded to a blaze at an unused building in Chester this evening (November 26).
Firefighters are tackling an ongoing blaze along Sealand Road at the former Elms Pub, witnesses report.
A spokesperson from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: "We're currently in attendance at a fire on Sealand Rd in Flintshire - please avoid the area whilst we deal with the incident.
"If you live nearby we're advising you to close windows and doors as a precaution. Thank you for your cooperation."
A spokesperson from North Wales Police added: "Due to a fire at a derelict building, Sealand road towards Chester is closed from the Saughall traffic lights. Please avoid the area, thank you."
Heavy congestion has been reported with delays likely in the area. Traffic is being diverted through Saughall.
Residents in Saughall village have been contacted regarding low water pressure and discoloured water as a result of the fire service using hydrants in the area. Updates will be shared on the Severn Trent Water website.
Updates to follow.
