A WREXHAM property is a contender for this year's BBC Wales' Home of the Year 2024 as the third series continues to air.
The search is on for Wales' Home of the Year 2024 as the popular property show returned on November 6 for a third series, with Welsh BBC Radio 2 presenter and drumming sensation Owain Wyn Evans, interior designer Mandy Watkins from Anglesey and Cardiff-based architectural designer Glen Thomas.
The first few 30-minute episodes have already aired, with Wrexham's feature set to broadcast on December 4 for the north-east Wales episode.
In the north east the judges must choose between a modern country cottage in Bala, a 17th century former courthouse in Welshpool and an extended detached family home in Wrexham.
Scoring them on architectural merit, distinctive design and original style, which home will Owain, Mandy and Glen judge worthy enough to go forward to the grand final?
The first home for the judges to visit is Cysgod y Coed, a modern country cottage in Bala. Mari and Dan transformed the family home Mari grew up in after purchasing it from her parents and putting their own unique and colourful stamp on it.
Second on the list is The Old Courthouse in Berriew. Dating back to the 17th century, creative homeowners Andrew and Michael have maintained a traditional exterior to their historic property whilst transforming the interiors into an expressive kaleidoscope of colours.

The third contender this week is Lyndon House - an extended detached family home in Wrexham. Homeowner Laura and her family have extended this detached property to suit their needs and decorated with a mix of industrial, Scandi and traditional styles to create and calm and comfortable home.
Owain Wyn Evans said: “I’m looking for a home that makes me say ‘I want to live here darlings!’ ”
Mandy Watkins added: “I’m looking for a home that tells me a story about the people that live there and maybe pick up some ideas along the way.”
Glen Thomas said: “The key areas that I’m looking for are sustainability, innovation, and an authentic expression of who that homeowner is.”
