A PEDESTRIAN killed in a collision with a HGV in Flintshire was named at an inquest opening today (Monday, November 25).
David Thomas Parry, of Chestnut Close, Flint, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the incident on the A5119 in Flint Mountain on November 18.
At County Hall in Ruthin on Monday, an inquest was opened into the 52-year-old's death.
It heard that emergency services, including an air ambulance were called to the incident at around 1.10pm following a collision involving a pedestrian and a HGV. Despite all care and efforts, the pedestrian, identified as Mr Parry, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene at 1.52pm.
A pathologist's provisional cause of death following a post-mortem examination is head injury.
John Gittins, senior coroner for North Wales East and Central, adjourned a full inquest pending further investigation by North Wales Police's forensic collision investigation unit.
