A MAIN Flintshire road has been closed due to a landslide.
Flintshire Council has said the A5104 Corwen Road is closed to all traffic in both directions due to an active landslide in Nant Brook between Pontybodkin and Ponblyddyn following the heavy rainfall from Storm Bert over the weekend.
It follows a landslide in Llanarmon DC, in the Ceiriog Valley, which saw a farm badly damaged and people evacuated.
A Flintshire Council spokesperson said: "Although the road itself is currently unaffected, we have taken the proactive step to close the road due to the risk of further landslip and to protect the safety of all road users.
"Monitoring and inspection of the landslide is underway to determine a plan of action when the conditions improve."
