A SUCCESSFUL choir from North Wales has confirmed dates for this year's festive performances.
The Cantorion Sirenian Singers are going to be very busy in the run up to Christmas this year with details of their festive show now confirmed.
On Saturday, December 7 the choir will host their annual Christmas Celebration at All Saints’ Church in Gresford, Wrexham.
The concert will include a variety of Christmas choral pieces and congregational carol singing. The choir is also very much looking forward to being joined by the Gresford Handbell Ringers once again on this very special occasion.
Starting at 7pm, tickets are priced at £12 for adults and free for under 16s.
The Sirenian Singers, founded in 1990, are well known for their festive concerts, which always begin with a candle-lit procession. Mulled wine and mince pies will also be available.
Christmas is a busy period for the choir with their next official engagement being an outdoor performance at Erddig Hall on December 14. This will commence at 12.30pm and everyone is invited to enjoy the festivities.
In a search for new members, the choir held an open rehearsal on Thursday, November 21 at Bethel Presbyterian Church in Wrexham which proved to be an excellent evening. Additional enrolment events are to be confirmed.
The choir is always eager to welcome new members and is particularly hoping to find extra tenors and bass. New members are able to sit in during rehearsals to listen and get acquainted with the repertoire without any pressure to perform.
