A WREXHAM children's day care centre saved from closure earlier this year, has celebrated a relaunch.

After consultation by Caia Park Partnership with staff, stakeholders and parents with children attending Sparkles Day Care centre in Caia Park, plans to shut were scrapped.

The charity’s childcare provision was facing a significant forecast budget deficit for the year ahead with costs outstripping income after several challenging years of high inflation, wage rises and the cost of living crisis.

The 30-day consultation, which also included Wrexham Council Officers, local politicians and other nurseries, generated a huge effort to re-shape the offer at Sparkles to put it on a sustainable footing.

Recently those involved celebrated the news Sparkles is relaunching, safeguarding the provision of affordable childcare for working parents in Caia Park.

Gary Brown, chief officer at the Caia Park Partnership said: "Sparkles is going from strength to strength thanks to a series of staffing moves, a new fee structure, room moves and parent input.
