AN annual fundraiser had all the right moves to support Cancer Research UK.
Flintshire-based dance school, Samantha Dene's Dance teamed up with national women's fitness brand Shake Dance Fitness for the event, which saw more than 32 Halloween-themed parties within a week.
Cancer Research UK was selected after a staff member learned of her BRCA 1 gene mutation, which heightens her risk of developing breast cancer, particularly following a cousin's diagnosis. She is currently in recovery from a double mastectomy and reconstruction.
Led by Samantha Dene, from Rhosesmor, more than 300 individuals participated in the event, which raised £1,002.36 for the charity.
She said: "Every year we pick a different cause, and almost everyone is affected in some way by cancer, so we chose Cancer Research UK to show our support for our member in her recovery."

The fundraiser surpassed the £1,000 target, thanks in part to a £250 donation from the Tata Steel Shotton Charities Commission, as several of their employees regularly attend the Shake Dance Fitness sessions in Northop and Mold.
Samantha added: "The team at Samantha Dene's Dance and Shake, would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to their remarkable community of clients for their support throughout the year.
"The fundraising achievements have been outstanding, reflecting the generosity of our community!"
