A STRETCH of the A55 was closed this morning (Friday, November 22) amid reports of an accident and "adverse driving conditions".
Traffic Wales said the westbound carriageway at Rhuallt Hill was closed, and the eastbound carriageway was partially blocked.

Traffic monitoring service Inrix was reporting that a collision occurred in the area.
Traffic Wales said: "Adverse Driving Conditions - A55 Rhuallt Hill in both directions. Westbound closed, Eastbound partially blocked. Take care in the area."
It issued an update at 9.55am, saying: "Driving conditions on the A55 Rhuallt Hill remain poor. Westbound remains closed due to a collision. Eastbound remains partially blocked due to several stranded vehicles. Ploughs are in the process of clearing the carriageways."
Inrix reported: "A55 North Wales Expressway Westbound blocked, stationary traffic due to earlier accident, a car involved, snow and ice from J30 (Travellers Inn) to J29 (Pant-Y-Dulath). Car has been moved from the middle of the road but traffic officers still have traffic at a standstill."
Shortly before 10.30am, Traffic Wales confirmed both sides of the carriageway have fully reopened.
