A FLINTSHIRE animal rescue centre is appealing to the public to find two beautiful dogs their forever home.
Almost Home Dog Rescue, based in Mold, provides a safe haven for abandoned dogs before uniting them with their new home and owner.
It also aims to support and educate the next generation of dog owners to prevent an increase in the number of pets being carelessly neglected.
Anyone interested in the following pups should fill out the adoption form here.
Almost Home is also hosting a Christmas Fair this year on Sunday, December 1 between 10.30am and 2.30pm. Join them for Santa's Grotto, raffle, tombola, local businesses and crafts, and cakes. Dogs are of course welcome.
Meet Ronald
This boy is said to be a real heartbreaker who has clearly been let down by humans. Yet he still gives everyone proper fusses and kisses, and will trust you instantly.
He is around three-years-old and came in via the vets then to the pound after becoming an unclaimed stray. This resulted him being at risk of being put to sleep.
Ronald is sadly covered in scars and wounds. Nobody can imagine what he has been through. Yet, he is so forgiving and loving. All he wants is to be your best friend and be with you.
No matter what you’re doing he is there and wants to help. His tail never stops, in fact he does full body wags and proper kisses.
Almost Home are on a mission to find him the best home, somewhere where he can forget his past and be treated as a valued member of the family. He is super loyal and just a ball of fun and love.
Ronald travels well, loves his walks and is good at the vets. He sits when told, takes treats nicely and has had a basic level of training. Apart from the obvious scarring and being under weight, he has passed a full health check, started his vaccinations, been flead and wormed. He will also be neutered once he has gained condition.
Now he is in foster, he is loving his comfy bed and loves cuddles. He’s house trained, settles well over night and okay to be left.
Meet Frankie (formerly Dusty)
Frankie is standard dachshund, who is around one-years-old. He was a stray who was unclaimed. Thankfully, Almost Home managed to find him a space, just before his time was up in the pound.
This lad is everything the breed should be - full of fun, character and a laugh a minute.

Frankie has passed a health check, been flead, wormed, mirco-chipped and is now neutered. He is a cracking looking lad and everyone comments on his shining coat.
This boy can be shy around new people for a few moments. However as soon as he trusts you, you can do anything with him. He adores his walks and is a good lad on his headcollar. He loves his cuddles after a busy day of exploring and sun bathing, and the garden makes him feel incredibly safe.
Frankie has shown mixed reactions around other dogs. Some he doesn’t like, some he ignores and some he will play with. He has managed to walk with some dogs. With the right time and patience he will be fine.
As always you get full behaviour back-up for life. Frankie isn’t worried by passing traffic on narrow lanes when walking. He loves going to new places and adores sniffing in the country lanes too.
Ultimately, he is going to be a fab addition to a household. However he is a proper dog, he loves walks and is full of sass. Frankie needs someone who understands the breed and is willing to step up and work on his socialisation.
