FOLLOWING an initial announcement in October to step down in 2025, Chief Executive at Wrexham Council Ian Bancroft has confirmed he will now leave at the end of this year.
After six-years, and further to conversations within the council, Mr Bancroft has decided to leave on December 31, 2024.
This will enable the change to happen from the beginning of 2025 and will allow for the council to plan for the future.
He said: "I will be in a personal position to plan for the future through making this early decision.
