POLICE have urged residents of a Flintshire town to remain vigilant after reports of someone trying people's door handles.
North Wales Police say the report has come from the Northop Road area of Flint this week.
They say that officers received a report of someone's back door handle having been 'tried'.
PC Charlotte Lodge, of the NWP Flintshire North team, said: "We have had a report of suspicious activity in the vicinity of Northop Road, Flint, where someone's back door handle has been tried."

She added: "Officers have been assigned the investigation and will be following any lines of enquiry."
North Wales Police has issued the following safety advice following the incident;
- Ensure doors and windows are locked
- Consider CCTV or Ring doorbell devices, both are excellent from an evidential perspective but more importantly acts as a deterrent to opportunists
- Make sure side gates and garages are locked
- Outdoor security lighting is a great tool for darker patches within your garden
North Wales Police is asking anyone in the area to please check their CCTV and Ring door bell cameras for anything suspicious captured there on Tuesday (November 19) at around 7.30pm.
