A BUSINESS owner is helping a Wrexham-based charity, in the tastiest way!
Haci Deniz, owner of the Chip-O-Dee fish bar in the city, is donating the takings from lunchtime orders one day next week, to the Lauren Brown Fund.
The fund was set up in the name of Ysgol Deiniol pupil Lauren Brown, who lost her battle with a rare type of bone cancer, Ewings Sarcoma, in February 2010, at just eight-years-old.

Her mum Clare Brown has been fundraising in her daughter's memory ever since. The Lauren Brown Fund supports the children's ward at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, providing luxuries and items to help make a stay in hospital more bearable for the children and their families. Since starting, they have raised more than £70,000.
Now Haci has offered to open the Chip-O-Dee, off Holt Road - usually closed on a Wednesday - on Wednesday, November 27, from 11.30am to 1.30pm, donating takings to the fund.

Clare said: "I want to spread the word. The more people that go, the more benefit to the children's ward.
"Haci is giving his time and money, and the least we can do is give him a shout out and say thank you for helping us.
"We need to keep the pot ticking over to help provide whatever it is they need.
"That could be a parent bed, which is £750, to a hairdryer for parents staying in the hospital.
"Anything to help make the stay more homely, activities, things to do. It makes a difference, it means the world to people and I've seen it in action."

The Lauren Brown Fund also hold a fundraising bingo night each year. This year's event is on Saturday, November 30, at Piercy Hall in Marchwiel.
People are welcome to turn up on the night, when they will also reveal the total raised from the Chip-O-Dee event.
Last month, Lauren's best friend Jenni George died, aged 22. A collection was made in aid of the Lauren Brown Fund, which has raised more than £3,000.
