SEVERAL areas of Flintshire and Wrexham are affected by power cuts this morning (Tuesday, November 19).
Scottish Power has said there are outages in Mold, Borras and Llay - as well as other areas.
It comes after a night of heavy snowfall, forcing schools in the area to close and affecting the public transport network.
Below is a list of power cuts currently affecting the Flintshire and Wrexham areas:
Borras
Dozens of postcodes are affected. A Scottish Power spokesperson said: "There is a power cut in the LL13 postcode area of Wrexham. We did not know in advance there would be a power cut and are working to get supplies restored. Due to the nature of this fault, further investigations are required, now expect your supply to be restored by 1.30pm."
Caia Park
Postcodes affected - LL130NQ, LL137AF, LL137AN, LL138DX, LL138NH, LL138NL, LL138NS, LL138NT, LL138NU, LL138NY, LL138PA, LL138UQ
Caergwrle
Postcodes affected - LL129LB, LL129LD, LL129LF
Mold
Postcodes affected - CH71RX, CH71RY, CH71RZ, CH71SA, CH71SB, CH71SD, CH71SE, CH71SF, CH71SG, CH71TB, CH71TE, CH71TG, CH71TQ
A Scottish Power spokesperson said: "This message is for customers in the CH7 postcode area of Mold. It was necessary for our engineers to carry out an emergency shutdown for safety at 9:04am, following reports of a snapped electricity pole, that has grounded down one of our overhead cables. We currently expect the power to be restored by 11:04am today."
