NUMEROUS Arriva bus services in Flintshire and Wrexham are affected by the overnight snowfall. 

The company has said certain services are only running on main roads, while others are partially terminating. 

A spokesperson said: "Due to continuing snowfall in Buckley and Mold services 4, x4 and 5 are currently terminating at St David's (Hawarden). Services 4 and X4 run between Mold and Chester, and service 5 between Mold and Ellesmere Port."

They added that Service 10 (Connah's Quay-Chester) is currently only operating on main roads. 

Due to the current conditions, service X51 (Wrexham-Denbigh) is currently unable to operate into Llandegla.

Wrexham services affected:

  • Services 2, 2A and 2C are operating on main roads only.
  • Wrexham service 4 is currently unable to serve Gardden Road and Afoneitha Estate.
  • Wrexham service 11 is currently unable to serve the Adwy Estate and Minera Terminus.
  • Wrexham service 12 is currently operating as far as Brynteg, using Rose Hill, missing out Pentre Broughton and Brymbo.
  • Wrexham service 14 is currently operating as far as Pheonix Drive Roundabout, missing out Tanyfron and Brymbo.
  • Wrexham service 21 is currently operating as far as the Wheatsheaf Pub, then back to Wrexham.
  • Due to current conditions Wrexham service 27 is currently operating to main roads Only, missing out Caergwrle Railway Station and Leeswood village.
  • Wrexham service 33 is currently unable to serve Llay village.

A yellow warning for snow and ice remains in place until 11am today (Tuesday, November 19), but the forecast does improve as the day goes on.

North Wales Police has said that the main arterial routes in Flintshire and Wrexham are open, after being badly affected by heavy snowfall late last evening.
