A WREXHAM pub has announced its reopening date to the public following severe damage sustained from last month's flooding.
The Nags Head on Mount Street closed almost five-weeks-ago on October 16 when the city centre and its surrounding areas were hit with extreme flooding.
It followed torrential rainfall throughout the day which left numerous roads in Wrexham and Flintshire submerged in deep floodwater.
The team has now confirmed the pub will reopen on Friday, November 29 from 11am with festive celebrations following what has been a "challenging" time.
Following a refurbishment, the Nags Head will host a Christmas light switch-on event on November 29 at 7pm with a "magical" performance from Brymbo Male Choir.
The damage to the building was highlighted by images which showed approximately 3ft of water in the cellar and bar area.
The main pub floor became unsafe for customers, with the carpets completely ruined in the aftermath of the heavy rainfall.

At the time, pub manager Coral Jones described the damage as extensive and said: "We’re heartbroken, but we’re working hard to assess the situation."
Coral later said: "Following the flooding that impacted the pub last month, we decided to turn the challenge into an opportunity and gave the pub a little refurbishment.
"While you’ll notice some fresh touches like new flooring, painting and a much needed face-lift to the bar, we’ve kept the same great atmosphere you know and love. The team can’t wait to welcome you back soon!"
It will be a joyous evening of live music and entertainment, and a wonderful 'welcome back' to all customers and staff who have missed their local.
