A COMMUNITY theatre company is set to bring back its family friendly Pantomime with a production due to hit the stage in Wrexham.

Tip Top Productions, which staged its popular pantomimes at the much missed Forum Studio Theatre in Chester for many years, is returning to its roots by bringing the much loved festive treat back to Wrexham.

There will be five performances of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" at The William Aston Hall, Wrexham University from Thursday, December 5 - Saturday, December  7.

The production marks the return of writer and director Peter Swingler OBE who is no stranger to the world of pantomime having started his panto career at the Wrexham venue 51-years-ago.

Peter said: “My first role in pantomime was in "Mother Goose" back in 1973, and with Tip Top, I returned in 1995 to direct Cinderella, where the late Kathie Dougall MBE shone as the Fairy Godmother. It feels incredible to be back at the William Aston Hall all these years later with this brand-new production."

Peter was also responsible for bringing pantomime back to Chester after an absence of some 45-years, following the demise of the Royalty Theatre in the mid 1960s.

Tip Top re-introduced the festive shows at the Forum Studio Theatre in 2010 with the productions soon becoming a much-loved Christmas tradition for families across Chester and North Wales, until the theatre closed in 2021.

Peter added: "Audiences are in for a treat with a powerhouse cast of talented actors and singers, lots of opportunities to boo and hiss and lots of surprises!
