WREXHAM suffered defeat on Saturday (November 16) ending a five-game unbeaten run with a 1-0 loss to Stockport.
It was a lively start by the Reds with debutant Jon Dadi Bodvarsson seeing his acrobatic effort gathered by Stockport keeper Ben Hinchcliffe.
However, the Hatters began to come into the game, before Louie Barry’s curling effort found the net in the 24th minute.
Wrexham keeper Callum Burton then made a series of saves to keep the score at 1-0 going into halftime.
Despite sustained pressure from Stockport, Wrexham improved in the second half and almost drew level with an Elliot Lee header from a teasing James McClean cross.
Stockport should have made it 2-0 late on but Burton made another one on one save to prevent Tanto Olaofe from scoring and Jayden Fevrier was also denied by the Reds' keeper but Stockport celebrated victory.
10,327 fans were in attendance at Edgeley Park, with 844 Reds fans making the journey.
