A WREXHAM man with a 'long history of dishonesty' has pleaded guilty to burglary, attempted theft and possessing a class A drug.
Ioan McKenzie, of Churton Drive in Wrexham, appeared before Mold Crown Court for a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing on Friday, November 15.
The 47-year-old pleaded guilty to one count of burglary, one count of attempted theft of a motor vehicle and one count of possessing a Class A drug.
Catherine Elvin, prosecuting, said that the burglary took place at a property in Wrexham on October 12, where McKenzie stole three pairs of trainers and a Berghaus coat.
On the same day, the defendant attempted to steal a Mercedes A class vehicle belonging to Beverley Morgan.

McKenzie also pleaded guilty to being in possession of a quantity of cocaine on October 13.
John Wyn Williams, defending McKenzie, said the defendant 'understands that he will face a lengthy sentence' due to his 'long record of dishonesty' with over 200 offences to his name.
Judge Rhys Rowlands scheduled sentencing to take place at Caernarfon Crown Court (currently sitting at Llandudno Magistrates Court) next Friday (November 22).
Addressing McKenzie, he said: "This is simply a matter of how long you will serve."
