A NUMBER of Christmas light switch-on events are taking place in Flintshire over the next few weeks.
Each year, communities in Flintshire come together to enjoy their annual Christmas lights switch on events.
Below is a lot of all the light switch on events taking place in Flintshire:
Buckley - Saturday, November 23 at 5.30pm
The event takes place on the Precinct Way car park off Brunswick Road. There will be stalls, refreshments, live music and children's rides. The lights will be switched on by Santa at 6.30pm.
Mold - Tuesday, November 26 at 3.30pm
There will be a funfair on Mold High Street from 3.30pm until 8pm, and entertainment on the Daniel Owen Square from 3.30pm onwards. There will be performances from Mold Town Band, Disney Princess Elsa, Amy Tasker and Cindy Lou, as well as a visit from the Grinch, before Father Christmas arrives at 6.25pm to switch the lights on at 6.30pm. There will also be food and gift stalls on the square from 12.30pm.

Flint - Thursday, November 28 at 5pm
The Christmas light switch-on is at 7pm followed by a two-minute firework display. There will also be a Christmas market running from 10am onwards and children singing from 5pm. The event forms part of the wider Flint Festive Festival between November 28 until December 15.
Bagillt - Monday, November 25
The nearby Bagillt community will also be holding a light switch-on on Monday, November 25 - with a Christmas market from 12pm.
Holywell - Friday, November 29 from 2pm onwards
The event will start in the afternoon, with an artisan marked on the high street. There will be also be local schools performing festive songs and a short pantomime at 5pm. There will be various other entertainment before the lights are switched on at 6pm. There will fairground rides, characters and more.
