NEW 'RECYCLING BAGS' are being trialled throughout Flintshire as of this month.
The trial is taking place between Monday, November 25 of this year and Friday, February 14, 2025.
Flintshire Council says the bags are being used for residents to recycle their metals, plastics and cartons.
The 12-week trial aims to find out if residents and collection crews find the new red bags to be more 'user-friendly' than the current grey bag, the council says.

Flintshire Council says the change is being made following a recent consultation with residents over the existing grey bags.
That consultation revealed that those bags are 'too small' and 'fall over in high winds'.
According to the council, the new red bags have a 'more user-friendly shape', and a 'velcro flap' to keep items inside.
So, what should you do now?
Once you have received your red recycling bag, you should use it to;
- Present your metal cans, tins, aerosols, foil, plastic bottles, pots, tubs, trays and food and drink cartons.
- You should also empty, rinse and safely squash your items to make them smaller, before putting them in your bag.
- Close the flap and secure the velcro fastening.
- Put your bag out each week, alongside your food caddy and other recycling containers.
A statement from Flintshire Council on the trial added: "For the duration of the trial, please hold on to your existing grey bag, but don't use it unless you need to present additional recycling.
"Once the trial has ended, please go back to only using your existing grey bag to present your metals, plastics and cartons."
