A CHARITY that keeps the magic of Christmas alive for children across North Wales, has received a welcome boost.
The volunteer-run North Wales Superkids helps to make sure as many youngsters as possible don't wake up to nothing on the festive day.
With referrals from the likes of schools and social care organisations, they collect items all year round, to fill sacks to give those who would otherwise have nothing.

The decision was made to gift the books to North Wales Superkids, to distribute to children across the region as part of their Christmas campaign.
Caroline Johnson, from The Mold Bookshop, said: "We were delighted to be able to donate these books to North Wales Superkids.
"Frank's books have always been very popular and I am sure the children will enjoy reading them."

The books, received by Superkids trustee Jade Storey, will be a welcome addition in the run up to Christmas, as the Superkids team look to meet demand.
There reason behind each referral varies but the help given is invaluable.
One school teacher shared the story behind a family's need for Superkids' help: "We made a number of referrals to Superkids last year, many of which were to do with the rise of the cost of living.
"One family in particular was in desperate need, they consisted of a mum, two children and a baby on the way.

"After a relationship breakdown, mum was not in a good place and her mental health really suffered. Then with the added stress of a baby on the way and Christmas looming, mum was close to her wits end.
"With the amazing support from Superkids, the children woke up on Christmas morning to find that to their delight Santa had been.
"This was also a turning point for mum knowing she was not alone and that people actually do care."
