THE team at a North Wales animal rescue centre is looking for new homes for their adorable residents.
North Clwyd Animal Rescue (NCAR) have cats, dogs, horses and some smaller animals, all hoping to find their forever home.
The staff and volunteers at the Trelogan-based charity, in Flintshire, know the animals as individuals, and therefore know what kind of home they are more likely to thrive in.

Whether it's a dog, cat, rabbit or horse, staff are on hand to advise on the character and suitability of each.
They also make sure potential new owners are aware of the ongoing costs of a pet, including food and vet bills, which can often be for unexpected treatment.
But thankfully there are plenty of responsible, loving people and families looking to give an animal a loving new home.

• Rolo is about one-year-old, and came into our care after being found as a stray. He is a really sweet lad who was understandably quite timid when he first arrived but he has quickly come out of his shell and has been friendly with everyone he has met so far. He is an affectionate and loves getting lots of attention and cuddles. He can be rehomed with sensible children 10+ who are confident with dogs. We have been introducing him to other dogs and he seems to really enjoy their company, he likes to play and we feel that he does have the potential to live with a compatible dog as long as the introductions went well here at the rescue. Rolo is very energetic and will require lengthy walks and lots of mental stimulation in order to meet his needs. He is looking for an active family who will get him out and about on adventures. He is looking for a home with people who will help him to build his confidence and dedicate time to his ongoing training and socialisation.
• Seven-year-old Soleil is a lovely, friendly quiet girl who came into our care as a stray. She likes to be stroked and is a very easy cat to care for. Due to her being a stray we sadly have no background information on her. She is looking for a home with children 8+ who will respect her space whilst she settles if needed. She is looking for a home away from busy roads so she can venture safely once she has settled into her new home.
• Three-year-old Archimedes is a lovely little lad who originally came into us as a stray, he was rehomed but was sadly returned recently due to his owner's struggling to manage his behaviour. He is a friendly and playful boy who enjoys meeting new people and getting lots of attention. Sadly we now don't think he has previously lived in a home environment before he came into us, as he does lack manners and doesn't really know the dos and don'ts. He is looking for an active adult-only home with people who will spend the time to help him adjust to home life and teach him firm boundaries. Archimedes really enjoys his walks, and we currently walk him on a harness which helps with his pulling. He can be very vocal towards other dogs when he is out and about. We have been working with him around other dogs and when introduced slowly and correctly, he does interact and walk well with them. He is looking for a home as the only pet.
• Nova is a lovely, one-year-old girl who came into our care with her three kittens and is now ready to find a new home. She is quite a petite girl and is very friendly. She can be rehomed with sensible children 6+ and has previously lived with dogs so does have potential to be rehomed with cat-friendly dogs as long as slow, sensible introductions can be done. Nova is looking for a home with a good outdoor area for her to venture and explore once she has settled in.
• Nico is a two-year-old boy who came into us as a stray. He is excitable and greets new people like they are his long lost best friend. He is affectionate and just wants to be with you. He can be boisterous at times but will settle down when told, he is ideally looking for a home with sensible children 14+ who are confident with bouncy dogs. We have started introducing Nico to a variety of dogs and he seems to really like being around them, he can be excitable but does interact and play well with them. He does have the potential to live with a compatible dog as long as the introductions go well. He is looking for an active home with people who will take him on plenty of adventures, he would make the perfect adventure buddy for somebody!
• Eirlys is a lovely, friendly girl of about four-years-old, who came into our care as a stray. Since being in our care she has been friendly and likes attention, and loves her meal times. She is looking for a home with a good outdoor area for her to explore once she has settled into her new home. Eirlys can be rehomed with children aged 8+ who will respect her space whilst she settles into her new home if needed. She will need to have suncream applied to her ears prior to going outside on sunny days to protect her from skin cancer, so new owners must bare this in mind.
