A FLINTSHIRE-based animal rescue centre is hoping to find a loving new home for a dog that has been with them for over 460 days now.
Skylor’s Animal Rescue, at Dobshill, is a small but passionate foster-based dog rescue in Dobshill that is run by a family.
The charity rescues dogs who are unwanted and abandoned, as well as pets who can no longer stay with their family, or in other certain circumstances such as ex racing greyhounds etc.
One of those within the rescue who is currently looking for his forever home is the adorable Nigel, who has been with Skylor's since October 16, 2023.
The Cane Corso has been with Skylor's Animal Rescue for a total of 463 days by now (correct as of November 12), since he was six months old.

Now, the search is on to find Nigel a new home ahead of him potentially spending a second Christmas at Skylor's.
A statement from the team on Nigel read: "He was dumped by his owner to then be taken into the pound and then faced being put to sleep. He’s spent his crucial months of life in kennels so he doesn’t really know how to handle the real world without help.
"This is where a loving new home will come in. He needs someone strong, willing to work with his fears and teach him how to live in a home environment and learn new skills out and about.
"Adam from K999 behaviour has had some sessions with him and has said he learns fast and will make someone an amazing companion once he’s had the training needed.
"Please let’s help find Nigel his forever before Christmas."
For more information on how to adopt Nigel, contact Skylor's Animal Rescue on their Facebook page or call them on 07766 112612.
