THE CITY of Wrexham gathered to remember past and present soldiers and servicemen with a Remembrance Sunday service.
An excellent turnout attended the annual service and parade in Wrexham this morning (Sunday, November 10) as crowds gathered to pay their respects in the winter sunshine.
The service is a tradition and a way for communities to honour the brave individuals who sacrificed their lives in service to our nation.
The Annual Service of Remembrance took place at Bodhyfryd outside on at 10.55am.
The touching ceremony included speeches from officiants and the mayoral party as well sombre performances by the band.
A parade started outside Wrexham Barracks where the wreath laying took place at approximately 10.30am before leading up to the Cenotaph.
The parade led by the band included war veterans and military personnel, as well as proud young Guides and Scouts.

At 10.59, a bugler sounded as the 'Last Post' before the two minute silence commenced.
Representatives from Wrexham schools also showed their respects alongside their headteachers.
The morning was a beautiful and poignant reminder of the courage and dedication of the individual's who risked their lives and fought bravely in the First and Second World Wars.
Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.
