FLINTSHIRE Foodbank has issued an appeal for specific items in demand as the winter season approaches.
Anyone in a position to donate to their local foodbank is always encouraged to do so, especially throughout the colder months.
Donations can be brought directly to the Flintshire warehouse on Raikes Lane in Mold, or you can donate in the supermarket you purchased your items.
Here are the top 5 items in need:
-
Jam
-
Tinned vegetables
-
Tinned ready means (stewed steak, curry)
-
UHT semi-skimmed milk
-
Tinned fish
Volunteers are also needed for this year's Tesco Winter Food Collection. From November 28 to 30, Flintshire Foodbank will be in the Mold, Broughton and Holywell Tesco stores to raise donations of food and other essentials during the busy winter period.

Volunteers can help to give shoppers a warm welcome, share the shopping list of most needed items, and collect donations.
Residents looking to support the cause can also get involved in the Flintshire Foodbank Reverse Advent Calendar where each day you can buy and donate a different item.
Donations can also be made to Paypal, or by purchasing food delivered directly to the warehouse through Give Today.
