A former professional footballer and Major League Soccer (MLS) referee travelled 4,300 miles to celebrate with a Wrexham team after their historic victory.
Adam Alfi made the journey from Florida to Wrexham to join FC United of Wrexham Women's team in celebrating their win in the inaugural North East Wales Football Association (NEWFA) Women's Futsal League.
The team secured their first-ever domestic Wales Women's League Futsal title recently.
Having been inspired by the team's success, Mr Alfi paid for a celebratory meal at Levante restaurant.
Mr Alfi said: "It’s been an absolute pleasure to meet everyone and immerse myself in the rich culture of Wrexham and Wales.
"The pride and commitment I’ve seen in this community speak volumes about the dedication to grassroots efforts and the heart of football.
"Witnessing this team’s journey to victory has been inspiring—this is what the game is all about: connecting people across borders and celebrating each other’s successes.
"I’m proud to have shared this moment with such a hardworking and passionate team."
FC United of Wrexham chairman, Andrew Ruscoe, said: "Winning this league is a landmark moment for our club.

Mr Alfi also took the opportunity to explore Wrexham's football culture during his visit.
He toured local grounds, the historic Wrexham Parish Church, and Ysgol Clywedog sports hall, where he observed and refereed the team.
He also helped an injured player with a concussion.
Mr Alfi rounded off his visit with a trip to the Saith Seren Pub, where he connected with the community and celebrated Wrexham's vibrant football spirit.
