A social business in Shotton has launched two food access initiatives.
Well-Fed, a collaboration between Flintshire County Council, ClwydAlyn Housing Association, and Can Cook, unveiled its MealLockers and MealVend services recently.
The business, which aims to provide quality food to all, has delivered more than one million meals since its inception.
The two new initiatives are designed to provide convenient access to locally produced, ultra-processed-free food.
The MealLockers are refrigerated outdoor lockers filled with high-quality recipe packs, staple goods, and fresh ready meals.
They allow people to order meals and collect them at their convenience.
The MealVend service provides plastic-free vending systems in workplaces, allowing staff to order fresh meals to collect as needed.
This makes healthy eating more accessible without requiring a workplace canteen or kitchen.
The launch event for the two services was attended by Jack Sargeant MS.
Mr Sargeant said: "It was great to attend the launch event for the MealLockers and MealVend services, both of which will make a real difference for local residents, allowing them to access affordable, healthy meals in an easy and convenient way.
"Well-Fed is a major community asset in Deeside and I would like to thank them for all their work supporting vulnerable families whilst also backing local food producers."
The two services are part of Well-Fed’s vision to ensure everyone has access to good, ultra-processed free food—at home, in work, or in crisis.
Robbie Davison, director at Well-Fed, said: "We have launched our MealLockers and MealVend services to make sure everyone can eat well wherever they live and work.
"Both services will also mean people can buy healthy and really tasty food to be picked up at their convenience."

Clare Budden, the chief executive of ClwydAlyn, also attended the launch.
She said: "I was delighted to join Well-Fed and partners for the launch of their new MealLocker and MealVend services.
"The rising cost of living continues to create real challenges for many people when it comes to accessing affordable, healthy food.
"These services are a great way to make it easier and more affordable to eat well and build on the significant work that Well-Fed is leading across North Wales to support communities with access to healthy food."
