A NORTH Wales cafe, popular with tourists and bikers, has closed to customers until 'early 2025.'
Ponderosa Cafe & Gift Shop, situated at the Horseshoe Pass in Llangollen, temporarily closed its doors on November 4 for the winter season - owner Simon Clemence confirmed.
Surrounded by stunning scenery, the cafe is to undergo a refurbishment of the kitchen, and anticipates a January/February reopening, according to an announcement post on social media.
Over the years, Ponderosa has become the ideal social hub for a spot of lunch and rest for bikers traveling across north Wales on a rideout or motorcycle meet.
Customers were quick to express their sadness over the news, with it being a "regular guilty pleasure" spot for many.
One individual said: "We use this as a meeting place for the family and friends for guaranteed amazing food, free parking, walk the dogs and beautiful views. I’m very saddened to hear this and hope it will reopen asap. All the staff are always so polite and obliging."

"Where will I go now for coffee and cake", added another.
Updates will be shared regarding the refurbishment progress and reopening dates on the 'Ponderosa Cafe on the Horseshoe Pass' Facebook page.
