A POPULAR food business has wished a 'heartfelt goodbye' to Wrexham as it announces that it is closing.
The Wing King has become a hit with residents since it was established in August 2022.
Earlier this year, it moved into the Italian business Gusto d'Italia's former site in Ty Pawb.
Prior to starting The Wing King business, owner Andrew Boycott was a chef for 23 years at various establishments in Chester.
The business has proven popular with even well-known Youtube food reviewer 'Rate My takeaway' visiting them back in April.
But today (November 5), Andrew has announced that The Wing King will be closing down.

He announced that a closing date will be confirmed soon and added that the decision was made with a 'heavy heart'.
He added that the 'support' from the Wrexham community has 'meant the world' to all involved with the business.
A statement read: "A heartfelt goodbye from The Wing King... closing date tbc. Dear Wrexham community, it is with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of The Wing King.
"After years of serving up the best wings in town and creating countless memories, it’s time for us to say farewell.
"We are incredibly grateful to each and every one of you who walked through our doors, shared a meal, and became part of our family. Your support has meant the world to us.
"From our signature sauces to our commitment to quality, we’ve always strived to deliver an exceptional experience. We’ve had the pleasure of seeing our loyal customers return again and again, and we are proud to have set a standard that reflects our dedication and passion.
"As we sign off, we know that The Wing King has left its mark, inspiring more than a few copycats along the way. To them, we say: it’s time to bring your own ideas to the table!
"As we close this chapter, we leave with full hearts and an enduring love for Wrexham. Thank you for being an essential part of our journey. We will cherish these moments."
