A NORTH WALES football star was the hero for a Premier League club on Monday evening (November 4).

Harry Wilson was born in Wrexham, went on to attend Ysgol Dinas Bran school in Llangollen, and was brought up in the town of Corwen.

Over the years, the 27-year-old has become a pivotal part of the Wales national football team, even scoring in the recent Nations League match v Montenegro.

Scoring stunning goals have become a talent of his and last night was no different as he came off the bench to grab two vital stoppage time goals for Fulham.

Marco Silva's side had trailed at home to Brentford 1-0 since Vitaly Janelt's 24th minute goal.

But, Wilson's introduction on 82 minutes, coming on for Reiss Nelson, was what was needed to help Fulham push on in the Premier League.

Wilson first netted this lovely flick on 92 minutes to draw Fulham level at 1-1.

And, as if that wasn't good enough, he then swooped down low to head home an unlikely winner in the 97th minute of the match (below).

That sent the Craven Cottage crowd into raptures of applause as Fulham moved up into 9th in the Premier League table.

Calls have been made for Wilson to become a more regular part of the club's matches and, on that showing, we may just see that soon.

From a young age, Wilson's footballing talents were clear to see and the family made national headlines when he made his international debut for Wales aged just 16 years and 207 days old v Belgium in October 2013.

That is because his grandfather, Peter Edwards, netted £125,000 as a result of having placed a bet of £50 with bookies William Hill on Harry to someday go on and play for Wales when he was just 18-months old.

Having come through the ranks at Liverpool, his senior club career has seen him so far star for the likes of Derby County, Bournemouth, Cardiff City and now club Fulham.

For Wales, Wilson has 58 caps since 2013, scoring 11 goals along the way.
