POLICE OFFICERS in Flintshire have shared the good and the bad from their Halloween shift.
On Thursday (October 31), many will have been taking their children out to enjoy a night of trick or treating.
But, others use the occasion as an opportunity to cause trouble, police have reported.
North Wales Police had urged youths to be mindful this Halloween, adding that 'not everyone celebrates or takes part in the festivities'.
But, the NWP Flintshire North team reported that they came across and incident of anti-social behaviour just minutes into their shift in that area.
PC Shannen Finnerty said: "I'm in tonight for some Halloween patrols for OP Bang, I've been on duty for 22 minutes and already attended my first report of children being abusive while trick or treating."

However, it wasn't all ghoulish for officers this Halloween, as they also had the chance to give one young man a night to cherish.
The boy (picture at the top of this article) had dressed up as a policeman for the occasion and had a chance to meet some of his heroes in the process.
PC Finnerty added: "On a lighter note, I also got to meet this lovely lad, the police are just getting younger and younger.
"I've smuggled some sweets in my patrol car, so some Skittles and a photo and he's off to enjoy his evening!"
