A Met Office spokesperson said: "Today: Widely cloudy, at times thick enough to produce the odd spot of light rain, with hill fog lingering across the mountains.
"Tonight: Still rather cloudy overnight with pockets of fog over hills and beneath some cloud breaks elsewhere. The odd spot of rain still possible, though mostly dry with light winds.
"Saturday: Hill fog lingers across the high ground, and elsewhere rather cloudy with the odd pocket of drizzle. The north and west will be best placed to catch occasional brighter breaks.
"Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday: High pressure continues to bring settled conditions. Mainly cloudy with the occasional spot of rain interspersed with brighter interludes as well. Feeling cooler, and becoming breezier by Tuesday."
