A FLINTSHIRE veterinary hospital is looking to extend its premises to meet growing demand on its service.
The Grange veterinary hospital, in Mold, has submitted a planning application to Flintshire Council for permission to build a temporary portable facility.
The Grange, which also operates six centres in Flintshire, said plans are in place for a permanent large extension to its facility - as demand on its service has increased "significantly" in recent years.
However, in the short term it's looking to install a temporary nurse's reception facility - which would be situated at the 'front facing' element of the building on Tyddyn Street.

The hospital said there is an "urgent need" for the facility - which will replace a gazebo that was put up during Covid.
Planning documents state that the facility would provide a "warm, comfortable and secure" environment for nurses and clients, and critically to give nurses hand-washing facilities at the point of need.
The Grange is the only independent veterinary hospital in Flintshire and the only one providing 24/7 emergency care.
Flintshire Council will decide on the proposal on a later date.
