A public path diversion order has been confirmed.

Wrexham County Borough Council confirmed the order on September 3.

The order affects Esclusham Below Public Footpath 9 and an unrecorded public footpath between Holy Trinity Church and the Wrexham to Shrewsbury railway line.

The council has stated the paths will be diverted as per the new map included in the order.

The details of the new routes can be viewed on this map at Wrexham County Borough Council's offices in the Guildhall, Wrexham, from 9am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Copies are available free of charge.

The order came into force immediately.

However, there is a provision for those who wish to contest the order.

Anyone aggrieved by the order can question its validity or any provision contained in it under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.

This needs to be done within six weeks from the date the notice was first published.

The new routes will affect the full width of the section of Esclusham Below Public Footpath 9 starting from Wrexham Road and running generally east, and the full width of a section of an unrecorded footpath starting from the southernmost corner of Holy Trinity Church car park and continuing generally south-east.
