A MAIN road in Wrexham near the Maelor Hospital is set to be closed for a week next month.
Wrexham Council has confirmed that a one way closure will be in place on Watery Road in the city centre from November 20 to November 27.
The road, which is one of the main roads of access to the hospital, will be closed to allow for resurfacing works, to be undertaken by Lewis and Hunter.
The one-way closure will be in place from the roundabout with Bradley Road to the level crossing.
Traffic will only be able to travel towards the city centre, not towards the hospital.

A spokesperson for Wrexham Council said: "From Wednesday 20th November to Wednesday 27th November 2024 (6 working days), there will be a one-way road closure for resurfacing works on Watery Road, Wrexham – to be undertaken by Lewis and Hunter on behalf of WCBC.
"The extents of the closure are from the roundabout with Bradley Road to the Level Crossing. Traffic can travel in an easterly direction only, towards the city centre."
Three weeks of gas works were recently undertaken on Croesnewydd Road near the Maelor, causing traffic mayhem for staff, patients and visitors at the hospital.
Residents took to social media to complain about the long waits to get from the Ramada to the hospital.
While the works taking place next month are not located as close to the hospital, the one way closure from the roundabout will cause more traffic to be using the B&Q roundabout in order to access the hospital.
