A FUNDRAISING event is taking place to support a young boy involved in an RTC in Flintshire.
Arlo Stott-Buckley, 6, suffered "life-changing injuries" following a collision in Shotton on September 12.
He was discharged from hospital at the end of September and has started his recovery journey at home with his family.
In a bid to support Arlo and his family, the local community is coming together to host 'Arlo's Carnival', an event aimed at raising money to help out over the coming months.
Organised by Saffron Williams, the carnival is being held at the Naval Club in Connah's Quay on Sunday, November 17 from 12pm until 6pm.
There is set to be a host of stalls and activities on offer, as well as a raffle, live music and food and drink on hand for all to enjoy.
A fundraising page has been set up, with over £1,000 raised already, as well as over £1,000 raised through collections and donations in hand.

Saffron said: "I decided to organise an event to raise money to help his family and make it easier for them to be off work and spend every moment with Arlo on this long journey to recovery.
"The funds will be used for Arlo’s family to be able to stay off work and be with him, for household bills, travel to and from hospital and also in his rehabilitation learning to sit up, walk and talk.
"He’s one determined little boy and it’s my absolute pleasure to do this for him and his family.
"The response from the local community has been amazing, we've been round fundraising at local pubs and businesses with Michael from Blue Duo Events.
"We're just trying to help out as slowly but surely Arlo is getting back to his old personality."
