MOTORISTS were warned of long tailbacks on a stretch of the A483 this afternoon (Monday, October 28).

There were lengthy delays on the southbound carriageway between Posthouse roundabout and Rossett due to a broken down HGV.

A lane closure was in place and motorists took to social media to warn others to avoid the area.

One person said: "Avoid the A483 southbound between Posthouse and Rossett. Long tail backs - lorry had a blow out, debris on the road."

A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "There will be some delays on the A483 Burton, Rossett southbound due to a broken down vehicle."

The delays remained until around 6pm.
