A DEVELOPER has revealed plans to build 135 designated affordable homes in Flintshire.
Anwyl Homes has launched a pre-application consultation over its plans for the development near New Brighton.
The site is located on agricultural land located to the eastern edge the village.
It would be 100 per cent designated affordable housing, and comprise a mixture of apartments, bungalows and houses.
It would be made up of 12 one-bedroom apartments; eight one-bedroom bungalows; six two-bedroom bungalows; 61 two-bedroom houses; 40 three-bedroom houses and eight four-bedroom houses.
There would be provision for 272 car parking spaces in the form of private, off-carriageway parking - serving individual dwellings. There would also be allocated spaces within shared ‘private parking courts’ connected to the estate network via a shared driveway and accessed on foot by connecting pedestrian links.
The scheme would include 1.21 hectares of a public open space within the site across two areas. One of the areas would also include a Local Equipped Area of Play (LEAP).
The pre-application public consultation began on Friday, October 25 and will run for 25 days. People can view all the planning documents via https://shorturl.at/AIfNn. In a planning statement, Anwyl Homes said: "The scheme provides a suitable and sustainable residential development that exhibits best practice and respects its context and surroundings with a diverse range of housing typologies proposed.
"The development will create a high quality inclusive, sustainable residential neighbourhood which maintains and enhances the key existing landscape features, integrating the site into the wider area.
"The development will maintain a well-informed, safe and attractive neighbourhood, which promotes the well-being of its residents and visitors. The properties will be accessible for all and the site is accessible by a range of means of transport giving residents and visitors a real choice about how they travel."
