A DEVELOPER has revealed plans to build 135 designated affordable homes in Flintshire.

Anwyl Homes has launched a pre-application consultation over its plans for the development near New Brighton. 

The site is located on agricultural land located to the eastern edge the village. 

(Image: Planning documents) It would be 100 per cent designated affordable housing, and comprise a mixture of apartments, bungalows and houses.

It would be made up of 12 one-bedroom apartments; eight one-bedroom bungalows; six two-bedroom bungalows; 61  two-bedroom houses; 40 three-bedroom houses and eight four-bedroom houses.

(Image: Planning documents) There would be provision for 272 car parking spaces in the form of private, off-carriageway parking - serving individual dwellings. There would also be allocated spaces within shared ‘private parking courts’ connected to the estate network via a shared driveway and accessed on foot by connecting pedestrian links.

The scheme would include 1.21 hectares of a public open space within the site across two areas. One of the areas would also include a Local Equipped Area of Play (LEAP).
